Inspired by his life as a Malaysian Indian growing up in suburban Kuala Lumpur, Prakash Daniel reflects on the struggles, joys and quirky moments of being part of a (lower) middle-class Indian family. Fun fact: the name Lobster Boy comes from the street he lives on, Jalan Udang Galah (Lobster), Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.

The Victoria Hotel - Banquet Room

The performance space is at basement level of the venue. For step-free/wheelchair access, take the lift from the main foyer to the basement. Front of House staff will need to assist with a MobiLift from here. Please note, the MobiLift has a maximum capacity of 275kg and cannot be operated during a performance due to the noise it generates. Please arrive 30 minutes before your show to allow for this.

Accessible seating is available on the right-hand side of the performance space, close to the entrance door.

There are accessible bathrooms on the basement level next to the Acacia Room and on Level 1 next to the Boardroom.

The main entrance has four flights of descending stairs (approx 50 steps) to reach the theatre.

Wheelchair access is through the stage door entrance via Spark Lane off Flinders Street. Please note that Sparks Lane is cobblestoned and may be difficult to navigate for visitors using mobility aids. Please ring the bell to notify front of house of your presence.
